Summary

Toucan Abroad takes place in Cartago, Costa Rica where students will shadow Licensed Physical Therapists for 2 or 3 weeks for a total of 40 or 60 Observation hours (depends if during winter or summer).  During the program the students will live in private housing with daily breakfast and select group meals included. Outside of the clinic students will be enjoying various excursions and activities to maximize the experience of being in Costa Rica.  Additionally, students will be given some free time to explore on their own and foster their friendships. Where? Cartago, Costa Rica

Cartago is a lively city located at the heart of the Central Valley at the foot of Irazu Volcano.  The mountainous city is filled with breathtaking views, fascinating history, and rich culture.  While still very accessible to San Jose, Cartago provides a more relaxed and safe place away from the commotion of  the capital while still offering a myriad of things to do and see.
