About the Role
Toucan Abroad is hiring Program Director(s) to lead upcoming international programs and help shape a meaningful experience for future Pre-PT students. This is a paid, seasonal leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys working with people, and can manage logistics and group coordination abroad.
Program Directors serve as the on-the-ground point person during our 2- to 3-week programs in Spain or Costa Rica, ensuring operations run smoothly while fostering a safe, supportive, and well-organized environment for students.
Core Responsibilities
Oversee daily schedules, including clinic rotations, group meals, and cultural excursions
Coordinate program logistics (airport pickups, group transportation, housing, etc.)
Serve as the liaison between clinics, local partners, and the Toucan Abroad team
Lead group meetings, address student questions, and keep the group informed
Manage unexpected issues or emergencies with professionalism and composure
Support students throughout the program, both logistically and interpersonally
Represent Toucan Abroad with professionalism, flexibility, and enthusiasm
Requirements
Completed undergraduate degree
Conversational Spanish (or higher)
Availability in summers (6–9 weeks) and every January (first 2 weeks) on an ongoing basis
Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
Prior experience abroad or with group leadership is a plus
Toucan Abroad alumni highly preferred
